Abstract

Nurse productivity is critical to maintaining the quality of hospital services, especially in today's global context. This study analyzes how training and career development affect the work productivity of nurses at Rama Hadi Hospital, Purwakarta Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The author selected 62 nurses from a total of 163 nurses using simple random sampling. Data was collected through questionnaires using the Likert scale. The results showed that training had a positive and significant influence on work productivity (t=4.448; p=0.000), contributing 49.8%. Career development also had a positive and significant effect on work productivity (t=4.026; p=0.000), contributing 46.1%. When the two factors were considered together, they had a significant effect on work productivity (F=11.691; p=0.000), with a determination coefficient of 28.4% but the factor that had the strongest effect on nurses' work productivity was training, with a contribution of 49.8%. These findings suggest that hospital management should combine training with a clear career development plan to increase nurse productivity. Therefore, nursing managers should prioritize the integration of technical training programs with structured career paths to ensure maximum application of new skills. Additionally, it is recommended to establish an effective system for monitoring, evaluating, and rewarding nurses.
